What is NOMAD?

NOMAD is a visit capture system for museums, visitor centres, amusement parks and holiday villages. This unique system enhances the visit experience both during and after the visit. NOMAD provides peace of mind to parents and group leaders through its guest tracking system which allows visitors to quickly locate other members of their group on an electronic map of the venue. NOMAD’s queue monitor system allows all visitors to check how busy specific areas are and adjust their route through the venue accordingly. The personal website generator and visit photo capture system gives a fantastic permanent record of their visit.

Find your child/Where is everyone?

NOMAD provides real-time location data to guests giving them the ability to locate any member of their group any time during their visit. Unlike traditional methods for reuniting families, NOMAD empowers parents with immediate visual answers to their children’s whereabouts.

Queue monitor

Queue monitor provides a snapshot of the state of play within the venue together with tips on the best places to visit and waiting times for the most popular activities. This gives the visitor more control over where to go within the venue and allows them to make best use of their time.

Personal website generator

Each visitor leaves with a completely unique website that they can view at the end of their visit or when they reach home. The website contains a picture gallery of their visit; scores and outputs from any of the interactive exhibits used; and crucially layered content and links to other sources of information that are specifically of interest to the visitor. This will have been gathered from the visitor’s movement pattern throughout the exhibition, how long they spent at each exhibit, which interactive exhibits were used etc. Personalised content delivered via the web has the advantage that it can be viewed at any time after the user has left the exhibition, shared with friends and printed.

Visit photo capture

Automatically controlled web-cams capture snaps of guests as they tour the venue. Pictures are displayed during the visit and collated into a personal photo gallery to provide a permanent record.

Who is it for?

NOMAD is primarily designed for medium to large entertainment zones which have a significant number of family and group visitors. Museums and visitors centres can benefit particularly from the personal website generator and visit photo capture which can enhance and extend the visit experience. Theme parks, water parks and holiday villages can make good use of the ‘find a child’ and queue monitoring systems to provide guests with peace of mind regarding their children and avoid hassle as they dodge the queues. Visitors to any of these venues will find the photo capture system delivers a fun and unique record of their visit.
