Our technologies can be broken into two key areas:

Data Capture

Spatial tracking or location aware technology is very site dependent, so Pepik has partnered with a number of organisations that allow us to deliver the correct solution for each customer and each site.

Technologies implemented in our solutions include RFID, Wireless LAN (802.11b/WiFi) and GPS - all dependent on the nature of the problem and the type of site.

Some of the key factors that will affect the type of technology required are business reasons, such as the type of tracking required (zonal or triangulation), the value to the visitor, the value of the information gleaned and the longevity of the average visit. Technical reasons also come into play - certain sites may, for example, be unsuitable for Wireless LAN technology. Pepik specialises in these types of technology and can bring the necessary expertise to resolve these questions.

Data Visualisation

Once this data is collected it is vital for it to be represented in a usable manner. Pepik can provide a number of different tools to allow customers to truly make the most of this valuable yet complex data. At its rawest a simple interface to an OLAP database can allow users to mine the data in many ways. Over this layer a sophisticated visual interface can be provided, layering the data over plans of the premises, allowing users to view activity over periods of time and by demographic.

Finally, and perhaps crucially, the data can be integrated with existing CRM solutions to allow data collected through other means to be combined with the location information and queried as one data set.

For customers that do not have existing CRM systems, or are looking to upgrade, Pepik can assist in the specification, identification and implementation of simple bespoke or complex off-the-shelf systems.

At Pepik we use Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE™) and Macromedia Flash to deliver our innovative visualisation and reporting tools. All of our software is based on the EJB and JMS standards, and is robust and scalable. Not only that but we can integrate our solutions with your existing systems and can work with any JDBC or ODBC compliant database, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase or PostgreSQL.
